| Shiatsu, meaning ('finger-pressure')
is a gentle form of healing bodywork originating
in Japan and incorporating the use of meridians (energy
pathways) and acupressure points from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), along with the practitioner’s
skilled intuition
and sensitivity.
Shiatsu is deeply
relaxing and facilitates the body’s own natural
healing process. It works on all levels: physical,
mental, emotional
and spiritual, to balance and integrate
these energies, bringing about a sense of inner harmony
and well-being.
Shiatsu can be beneficial
for all kinds of health problems, such as those brought
about by a stressful lifestyle, illness, trauma and
the many causes of pain and disease.
